Travel Subsidies

Travel Subsidies for Ontario-based Conference Attendees

The conference is pleased to be able to offer a limited number of travel subsidies and accessibility/equity subsidies to reduce financial barriers to participation for attendees in Ontario who would otherwise be unable to attend due to lack of employer/host agency funding support.

The following groups are prioritized for scholarships:

  • Rural participants (e.g., outside GTA, Ottawa, other metropolitan areas)
  • First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis participants
  • People with lived or living experience of the systems or issues addressed by the conference including but not limited to experiences related to poverty, housing instability, health inequities, or justice system involvement.

Selection will aim to:

  • Ensure geographic diversity across Ontario
  • Balance representation across sectors
  • Support participation of community-based and grassroots organizations
  • Promote participation of individuals who are systemically underrepresented
